Riviera Park
🏞️ Riviera Park — the historic heart of Sochi, founded in 1898 by entrepreneur V.A. Khlyudov. It is an oasis of 240+ plant species, cultural sites, and attractions spread over 15 hectares in the very center of the city.
The uniqueness of the park lies in the harmony of nature and entertainment: here you can stroll among century-old magnolias and plane trees, and five minutes later be riding roller coasters. An ideal place for family relaxation, romantic walks, and getting acquainted with the history of the resort.
ℹ️ Key park attractions:
Friendship Meadow — a landmark place where celebrities (cosmonauts, artists, athletes) plant named trees. Each alley is a living chronicle of visits to Sochi, and plaques near the trees tell interesting facts about honored guests.
Rose Garden and Flower Alleys — over 30 varieties of roses, seasonal tulip and chrysanthemum exhibitions. In spring and summer, the park is awash with flowers: fragrant flowerbeds and shady pergolas create the atmosphere of an old southern garden.
Attractions — over 60 entertainments: from classic carousels for toddlers to extreme coasters ('Cosmic Loop', 'Tornado') for teenagers and adults. A Ferris wheel with panoramic views of Sochi and the Black Sea is in operation.
Sochi Entertainment Park inside the park — a children's town with safe rides, animators, and play areas. For the little ones — mini-trains, trampolines, and a dry pool.
Riviera Dolphinarium — shows with sea lions, dolphins, and walruses. Interactive programs allow you to swim with dolphins and take memorable photos (advance booking required).
🏸 Sports infrastructure — tennis courts, beach volleyball court, bicycle and scooter rental point. In the mornings, free yoga and exercise classes are held in the park.
🎭 Cultural program — summer concerts on the open-air stage, festivals, open-air exhibitions. On weekends — animation for children and master classes.
✅ Practical tips:
Entry to the park is free; only rides and separate attractions (dolphinarium, rope park) are paid.
A single ticket for rides is more cost-effective than individual tickets — savings up to 40%.
Best time to visit: weekday mornings (fewer people) or evening hours on weekends (coolness and lighting).
🧒👧 For children: bring a change of clothes — you can get wet in the play areas and near the fountains. Large families, as well as families with orphaned children, children left without parental care, and persons with disabilities can visit some attractions for free every Tuesday from 11:00 to 18:00.
Dining: cafes with children's menus operate in the park, but you can also have a picnic on special lawns.
🗺️ Location integration: The park is located in the Central District of Sochi, a 10-minute walk from the Marine Station and the embankment. Nearby are hotels, restaurants, souvenir rows, and public transport stops. After a walk through Riviera, it is convenient to continue the day at the beach or go on an excursion to the city center.
Opening hours: daily 09:00–23:00 (rides until 22:00, seasonally).
