Navalishensky Gorge
Navalishensky Gorge🏞️ — one of the most picturesque and accessible natural wonders of the Khosta District, located near the settlement of Rassvet (close to the village of Khleborob). This unique geological monument is where the Bolshaya Khosta River has carved its way through the solid limestone rocks of the Akhun Ridge over millions of years. The main feature of the location is the combination of dramatic snow-white cliffs, the depth of the canyon (up to 150 meters), and lush subtropical vegetation. A walk along the bottom of the gorge, about 1.5 km long, resembles a journey through the sets of an adventure film: here you can see small waterfalls, crystal-clear turquoise swimming pools, grottoes, and relic plants. The route is well-equipped with wooden boardwalks and bridges, making it comfortable even for families with children. An ideal choice for light hiking, refreshing swimming in a mountain river, and taking impressive photos against the backdrop of vertical cliffs.

📝Practical tips:
How to get there: the gorge is located near the Rassvet settlement (Khleborob village). By car or taxi to the park entrance (landmark — signs “Navalishensky Gorge”). Public transport runs to the “Khleborob” or “Rassvet” stop, then ~15–20 minutes on foot along the road.
Footwear and clothing: comfortable shoes with good grip are mandatory (rocks can be slippery). Swimsuit and towel if you plan to enter the water. Take a windbreaker, as it is always cooler in the gorge.
Best time: summer and early autumn — the water is warmer, the trails are dry. Morning is preferable for good views and fewer tourists. After rain, the water may be muddy, but the flow is stronger.
Safety: follow trail markings, do not swim in unverified places outside equipped pools. Keep an eye on children near cliff edges.
Ethics: do not leave trash, do not break plants, respect nature.
